@nomadatlatl how're you doing? is asking for the person's welfare at the moment. like details about what's going on with their life
how're you feeling? is used more for emotional welfare
person A: how're you feeling today?
person B: I feel sad or I feel happy

I think @Angelbenson25 is right. I would also say “How are you feeling?” to ask about someone’s physical health.
So if my friend had an injury or they had mentioned that they weren’t feeling well earlier in the day, I might ask them “how are you feeling?“ just to check on them.
