осознать можно что-то. например: она осознала в чем ее проблема.
распознать, т.е. различить среди других, увидеть что-то знакомое. например: он распознал ее по знакомым чертам лица. в данном предложении "узнать" будет тоже уместно.
так что "распознать" и "узнать" в некоторых случаях синонимы.
но если использовать "узнать", как способ узнать что-то новое, то лучше будет звучать "узнавать".
осознать ≠ распознать, узнать
- Russian
Осознать- to realize, to discern.
Нам необходимо осознать (ясно понять) серьёзность нынешней ситуации в мире.
Распознать- to differentiate, to tell one from another, to distinguish, to spot, to diagnose ( a disease).

Вы можете распознать ( отличить) близнецов?
Врачи смогли распознать (определить) болезнь на ранней стадии.
Узнать- to learn, to get to know, to recognise.
Я узнала (научилась), как печь адыгейские пироги.
Надо узнать ( познакомиться) друг друга по-лучше.
Я едва узнала Вас с бородой.
I hardly recognised you with a beard!

The words "осознать" (osoznat'), "распознать" (raspoznat'), and "узнать" (uznat') are related, but they have different meanings and uses:
"Осознать" (osoznat') means "to realize" or "to become aware of" something. It is a verb used to describe the process of coming to understand or recognize something that was previously unknown or unacknowledged.
Example: Он наконец осознал, что любит ее. (On nakonets osoznal, chto lyubit yey.) - "He finally realized that he loves her."
"Распознать" (raspoznat') means "to recognize" or "to identify" someone or something. It is a verb used to describe the act of discerning or distinguishing one person or thing from another.
Example: Я с трудом распознал его в толпе. (Ya s trudom raspoznal ego v tolpe.) - "I had difficulty recognizing him in the crowd."
"Узнать" (uznat') means "to find out" or "to learn" something. It is a verb used to describe the process of discovering or obtaining information that was previously unknown or hidden.
Example: Я узнал, что он переезжает в другой город. (Ya uznal, chto on pereezzhaet v drugoy gorod.) - "I found out that he is moving to another city."
In summary, while all three words involve some form of recognizing or acknowledging something, they have different nuances and applications. "Осознать" (osoznat') describes the process of realizing something, "распознать" (raspoznat') involves recognizing someone or something, and "узнать" (uznat') refers to finding out or learning something that was previously unknown.

@kikabelocka77598 Спасибо за ответ ) Мне осталось еще вопрос: если хочу выразить идею различения знакомого, можно ли всегда оба глаголов "узнать" и "разпознать" использовать, или есть случаи, в которых нельзя?

thanks a ton for the answers!!! I'm just a little bit confused about one thing. I've heard the word "узнать" be used for the concept of recognition, as распознать is. Is there any restraint to also using it in this context, or is "распознать" always better?

@youjustreadmyname ,
Мы говорим только "узнать кого-то знакомого в лицо, по голосу, по походке" though it actually means to identify, "распознать".
This is how it is, absolutely the same thing is in English. All the words and grarammar are correct, but... you don't say so and there exists a definite set phrase.
