Hola, I’m interested in the general opinion of Spanish people on British people living in Spain.

I have been to Spain when I was younger but didn’t really think about it, it was the years after seeing things online like idiot British people behaving bad in Spain, but also that there are some areas in Spain where many British people live and they’ve become almost a “little Britain” with pubs and even fish and chip shops.

I just want to hear what impression Spanish people have about this.

Usually British people "living" here aren't a problem ^^ we might call them guiris but that can also be a term of a endearment. I had never heard of anywhere called little Britain. Mallorca has lots of German people living there though, which is... something we usually laugh at, to be honest 🤣 want to visit Germany, hate international travel? go to Mallorca!

Normal tourists are also fine!! We're usually a welcoming bunch I'd say -- though we're not the best judges for that so you tell me.

Tourists that just come here to get drunk and may or may not fall off from a balcony *are* seen badly though. Or those that complain because people don't speak English... There are many memes about this, so you might have stumbled upon them 😬 But yeah, we're aware this is not all British tourists 🤣

Oh. We do absolutely despise 99% of British food 🤣 that's a package that comes with being Mediterranean, I fear

@RRResident In my opinion, the only problem is the drunken tourists who don't respect anything or anyone. Those who live here are usually well behaved.
I don't know about this "little Britain" you speak of, maybe it's something that happens in bigger cities than the one I live in, so I can't speak to that.
