When saying âI mightâ itâs the same thing as saying âmaybeâ such as: âI might get something to drink.â itâs the same as âIâll maybe get something to drink.â However when saying âI might as wellâ itâs more like saying âI supposeâ or âI guessâ such as: âI might as well finish my homework.â itâs the same as âI suppose / I guess Iâll finish my homework.â

The sentence is implying the speakers intention of what they will or will not do depending on what they want.
âI might get something to drinkâ
The speakerâs intention is to get something to drink however thereâs also a chance the speaker will not depending on how the speaker feels.
âI might as wellâ is different itâs more like saying âI guess / I supposeâ. One more thing about this phrase is if someone says to you âYou might as wellâ such as âYou might as well go mow that lawnâ itâs like saying âYou should go mow that lawnâ
