@Ghoul-kun I think it is too simple...My foreign tutor always say "How are you ", I am afraid that it is impolite to response like that

I'm good/fine/great. Respond back with "how are you?" And explain why how you feel if you do not want it as simple as "I'm good, how are you?"

@eveningN Just say how you feel at the moment. If you feel your reply is too simple, just add on by saying why you are feeling good/not so good by talking about your day.
If your tutor wants a more complex reply, I am sure he/she will ask you more questions. :)
