@Anssi It means almost the same but "proszę" is used more often when you give something to someone. For example: "Proszę, oto twoje danie" - "Here's your meal, please". But there may be a few exceptions, like: "Proszę, czy mogę dostać swoje danie?" - "Could I get my meal already, please? "Poproszę" is ONLY used when you want to get something from someone. And there are no exceptions. For example: "Poproszę o przyniesienie mojego dania" - "Give me my meal, please". The last example sounded a little bit arrogantly but I hope it helped you.
