Слово ездить означает периодическое действие.
Например,Езжу в школу КАЖДЫЙ ДЕНЬ.( I go to school every day)
аналог английскому времени present simple.
Слово ехать означает действие, происходящее в какой-то длящийся момент.
Например, мы сейчас едем до школы.( We are going to school right now) Аналог continuous.
Слова съехать и съездить не переводятся в соответствии с данными выше, хотя и являются однокоренными. Во-первых, оба слова являются словами совершенного вида. Съехать-спуститься с чего-то вниз. Например,Мы съехали на машине с горы.
Съездить используется в значении посетить. Например, Мы этим летом уже съездили в Москву.

Слово "ехать" лучше не употреблять, потому что оно является нарушением нормы. Лучше говори "ездить".
"Съехать" может быть использовано как обозначение перемещения на транспорте сверху вниз (если передвигается человек - говорят "сойти". Второе значение слово "съехать" - перестать жить в определённом помещении. Например, "Мои соседи съехали с квартиры месяц назад".
"Съездить" - относится как к путешествиям, так и единичным посещением отдалённого места, для достижения которого необходимо использовать транспорт.
"Надо съездить за продуктами".
