I am a university student who major in English in China. You know, in China,we have studied English from the elementary shool to the senior high scool.but the school was just focus on exam,while ignored spoken english.thus,eventhough i have studied english long time,i can not chat with foreigner fluently,together with using the native english.It has a word to descibed my level of english studying:chinglish!

Hi Maxine, I'm happy to help. Learning another language is hard, but you're doing very well! In my studies, I've come to the conclusion that forcing yourself to talk in the other language, with a native speaker, might be the only way to become truly proficient. I'm sure that it's very hard to find English conversation for 200 million or so Chinese students of the language, though.
