It depends on which city you are visiting.
You should try cannoli, arancine, cassata, sfince di san giuseppe, pane e panelle e crocchè, gelo di mellone (only in summer), pasta con le sarde, pasta alla norma in Palermo.
If you are in messina you must try granita al caffé con panna e brioscia, focaccia messinese.
In Catania you should try granita alla mandorla, anything with pistacchio like gelato, granita or a cake.
Try to google this food names with the coty name (e.g. arancine palermo) and see if you like them.
