Question about Japanese

In English, we sometimes say "please eat ~~ for me" if someone is on a trip and mentions a 名物。It means "please enjoy eating 名物". 例えば、私は友達の結婚式へ行けない。他の友達に"I can't go, but please eat lots of cake for me!"
Does this sound natural?
