- Greek
it's not used in Modern Greek.
We know it paired with συ as in the phrase attributed to Jesus "Συ Είπας" meaning "you said [so]".
In the new testament Jesus is being tried by a court of priests led by a man who insisted on getting Jesus to admit to his blasphemous claim of being a son of God.
The famous reply is "you say that I am" as in "I'm not saying it, it is you who says it". Συ Είπας. You said [it].
