What does Для чего используется артикль "a" в английском языке? например: "a telescope,a mirror" mean?

Он употребляется перед словами в единственном числе, которые можно подсчитать в вышеуказанных примерах (например сахара уже не подсчитаем, так что говорим sugar, нет a sugar). Если слово начинается с гласного, то употребляем an, например an elephant

есть исключения - an hour, потому что hour читаем "ауэр", так что слово звучит, как будто начинается с гласного.
