What is the difference between I could hardly translate it somehow into Japanese. and Somehow I could hardly translate it into Japanese. ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

It is the same meaning, but I would not use somehow with hardly.
1. I could hardly translate it into Japanese
2. Somehow I was able to translate it into Japanese.
I prefer the sound of the second example. I also prefer the word barely to hardly.
