Accent is about pronunciation. Dialect is about grammar structure. You cannot see accent written, but this is an example:
1: "I don't have the things you want" (the accent will mean longer vowels, slurred constants, etc.)
2: "I ain't got none of those thingies you want" (South-eastern American dialect can change the grammar and ignore rules)

An accent is a variation on a language's sound system. Someone can have a foreign accent, meaning their pronunciation is different because they aren't a native speaker. Someone can also have an American accent, or a British accent, or an Australian accent. This means their pronunciation is different because of the region they grew up in.
American, British, and Australian English are also different English dialects. Differences in dialect, include various patterns in grammar, vocabulary, slang, idioms, and pronunciation (so yes, you're right it does include accents)
- Simplified Chinese (China)
I suppose “dialect”means different area has different local language,【eg:in China, different province has different dialects, but just use it in our own hometown. If i come from Peking, then maybe I don't understand what Shanghai people means if they use their dialect. Cause the whole country usually say'Mandarin'】“Accents”tend to 'pronunciation' .Although two men has same dialects, but maybe they are different in “accents”. in other words,I can speak English,I can learn their dialect, but I have “accent”,because I am not a native speaker.
