Question about Japanese

What is the difference between ことし and こんねん and きょう and こんにち ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

I've learned that you should read 今年 as ことし and 今日 as きょう, but while I was studying kanji I also found these readings: こんねん/こんにち. Are they used often? Do they have the same meaning or a different one?
