"Haben" and "Sein" are auxiliary verbs.
The ge- is depending on the time:
Ich bin müde. (Simple Present)
Ich bin müde gewesen. (Past Perfect)
Ich habe hunger. (S.P.)
Ich habe hunger gehabt. (P.P.)
