If you were male you say สวัสดีครับ swag-dee Krab
And if you were female you say
สวัสดีค่ะ swag-dee-kha
Male: krab ครับ
Femal: kha ค่ะ
The word krab and kha is a polite way. For Thai sometime we put krab or kha at the end of our sentences to show respect

The answer is the same with Spanish and other languages that has different speaking terms for different sex. Nobody knows.
Just like in English why are there different tense for same word? Like why are there "go, went, gone"? Why not "I go, I have go"
