Rundt means round and around.
Omkring is specifically used for around- location wise
You can say both "se deg rundt" and "se deg omkring" (have a look around).
You can say "pizzaen er rund" (the pizza is round) but NOT "pizzaen er omkring"
Omtrent means about, as in "I will need about this much soap" Not as in "Let me tell you a little about myself"

This is a tricky one. I'll use some examples. you can say "Jeg går rundt huset", which means it is almost like a clean circle of walking, same starting point as ending point. But you cannot say "Jeg går omkring huset" Omkring is more like "in the immediate area". It is normal to say "jeg går omkring på stranden" which gives the image of a random walk around the beach area. If you say "jeg går rundt på stranden", also acceptable, but gives the impression of a more confused walk, like when drunk, or disoriented. Just a slight difference between those words rundt and omkring, and even natives get them mixed up.
