I could say "How do you like it?" to ask him/her how the something is??
"How would you like it?" cannot mean "How is it?"
How do you like maybe means what you like or prefer?? 😊

How would you like it would mean how would you prefer or like something to be but how do you like it means how do you like something that is already done and their asking your opinion on it
