Bounce has nothing to do with "bound" or "bind."
Bounce only ever means "moving quickly up and down," like a ball.
Bound is the past tense/past participle of bind. You bind someone with rope. You are bound by rope. He was bound with rope.

@kongku You bounce a ball or you bounced a ball. "Bound" means "tied up."

"Bound" can also mean two other things: that you MUST do something, "I am bound to serve my master." OR that it is almost inevitable that something will happen. (inevitable means that something is definitely going to happen no matter what.) "She is bound to fall back in love with him." "You are bound to find a new job soon."

Our choices are always bound by reality.
Bounds is not a proper word, usually. There is ANOTHER meaning for "bound," a verb that means "leap" or "jump," as in "Superman can leap tall buildings in a single bound." In this case, "bounds" can be used as a present tense verb. "The dog bounds into the room."
- Simplified Chinese (China)
The dog bounces into the room.
In this case the two words are the same, yes ?

Bounds are usually long strides.
Bounces are short hops.
But otherwise, sort of, yes!
