Canada is huge and varies a lot. Vancouver is as cold as -5 in the winter and up to 30 in the summer. The prairie cities (like Edmonton) can get very cold (-30) in the winter and up to 30 in the summer. If you go far north, to the less populated areas, the winters are even colder and summers are very short .
