I think '제발' is very strong word, so it is a little bit different from English,
English speakers say 'please' frequently', but Korean speakers rarely say '제발'
I think <~해 주세요, ~해 주시겠어요?, 조금(좀) ~해 주세요, 조금(좀)~해 주시겠어요? Or verb stem + 주세요> is closer to English
for example, Koreans usually say '조금만 비켜주시겠어요?', don't say '제발 조금만 비켜주시겠어요?‘
Koreans say ‘제발’ when they are desperate as the examples (below)
ex)
Stop it, for heaven's sake! : 제발 그만두어라
For God's sake spare my life. : 제발 목숨만 살려 주십시오
