Since 'Jungen' has several meanings that are similar to each other and thus the comments above may be somewhat confusing to learners of German, I'll give it another shot and try to do it more systematically: 'die Jungen' has 3 main meanings in German: 1) It's the plural of 'der Junge' (the boy) 2) It's the plural of 'das Junge' (offspring of an animal, both male and female) 3) It's the nominalisation of the adjective 'jung'. As such it is used mostly in plural and means 'young people' , 'the young ones' (both male and female) as opposed to 'die Alten' 'Jungs' has mainly two meanings: 1) It's a non-standard plural of 'der Junge' (boy). The use of 'Jungs' is somewhat more colloquial than 'Jungen' and should be avoided in formal settings. 2) It also is sometimes used to refer to a group of male persons you know well or feel some affection for. These people don't necessarily have to be children. E.g. you can say 'Ich spiele Poker mit den Jungs' - 'I play poker with the guys'. This usage is even more colloquial than the first one. If unsure which one to use, it's save to stick to 'Jungen'
In a direct address use 'Jungs' because 'Jungen' sounds rather stilted in that situation

Both are the plural form of the noun "Junge".
They're almost interchangeable.
