A little unnatural
"Could you please tell me the answer?" makes sense if you want to ask the answer to a question, such as a math problem.
"Could you please tell me how to solve it" makes sense if you want to know how to deal with a problem, such as repairing a bike.
I think "could you please" is polite enough and more concise than "if you don't mind my asking".
