What do you think about conceding in an essay?
some people concede often, like "some peolpe may say the opposite thing, but..."
But don't you think this style makes your argument less persuasive, or this does so only when you overconcede?

Well... It leaves it open to be discussed further. It is not a strong position but it can be. In an essay, it is a good way to move on without rambling. Example: Studying can be difficult but everyone knows what happens when you don't study...There are many tools to make this process easier for students."
