Question about Korean
When I go to Korean restaurants sometimes I greet them in Korean and i get mixed reactions. Some get excited and reply in Korean and some speak to me in English even though I'm replying in Korean. Are people more annoyed that I speak Korean or interested??

@Ambi3r they are unfamiliar to treat Korean speakers who have different ethnic backgrounds since Korean society is very homogenious and rarely teaches how to interact properly with Korean speakers from different groups. So that kinds of different reactions occurs. Anyway they're not annoyed, rather got interested, I guess, by presence of you.

In most cases, people would like you speaking in Korean. They dont expect you to speak in Korean. No worries. They dont get annoyed.
