mianhae is informal. usually use with family, friends or the one we close with.
joseonghapnida is formal.

미안해 mianhae is informal.
죄송합니다 is much more polite

@Fhirdaus yeap. bcs korean really respect to elder :) so if you dont want to be called rude, just +yo :) but for friend/bestfriend/girlfriend/boyfriend/ur junior you can just say mianhae or mian

From what I know 미안해/미안해요 is a much more informal way to say sorry and 죄송합니다 is very formal.
Also not having an ending after your phrase is very informal, ~요 is polite and ~입니다 is very polite.
