I understand better Portuguese when it's written, like 95% of the text.
But when it's spoken I understand better Italian because Spanish and Italian sound very similar, Portuguese has strange sounds xd.
And I've studied French, I have like a B1 level, so I understand a lot. But before studying it, French was the least similar to Spanish, both written and spoken it's very very difficult to catch something if you haven't studied it.

Italian is phonetically much closer to Spanish, Portugues, despite the fact that the language is both lexically and grammatically closer to Spanish, is harder to understand for a native speaker of Spanish since the phonetics of the language are rather different.
When written I'd definitely say portuguese is way easier, due to the fact they retained their spelling, thus, words often lookalike but are differently pronounced.

Definitely not french. French is the one that derives the most from the rest of the romanic languages in terms of phonetics and pronuntiation. Between the other two, I would say that a spanish-speaking person and an italian-speaking person could have a normal conversation if they both speak calmly and clearly, and the portugese, even though it is the most similar language to spanish, it has different pronunciation. Otherwise, it is not hard to understand a portuguese text
