The only 'special holiday' in Germany is the 'Tag der deutschen Einheit' on the 3rd of October. It is the anniversary of the official reunion of both Germanys (BRD und DDR) on the 3rd October 1990.
The most celebrate holidays are in my opinion Christmas and Easter
