What is the difference between короткий and краткий ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

I know Краткий from Й (и краткое), which literally means "short и"
I also remember that короткий refers to short (for people) (I could easily be wrong though)
In the following situations, which is used?
Short (for time) e.g. After a short chat I have to leave. (После краткого/короткого расговар нужно мне уйтй)
Short (for length of objects) e.g. This is a short pencil (Этот карандаш краток/короток?)
Short (of place) e.g. Short(?) mountain короткая/краткая гора
In case you can find other usages, please also list them.

It’s a bit hard to explain, you know.
You can use Краткий for talk (краткий разговор), you can also use короткий in this case (короткий разговор), which means “brief”.
Examples: краткий миг = короткий миг (short moment), краткая история = короткая история (short story)
