to be comfortable is a statement of fact.. You ARE comfortable.. whereas to feel comfortable is based solely on your perception of your feelings. both in fact mean the same thing but just from different perspectives. So if I tell you to lay out benches and chairs with pillows because I wanted people to be comfortable..this is something I want.. but the people have to arrange the pillows and position themselves right to feel comfortable.
