"ligaw" has actually two meanings in filipino. first is "courting" and the second is "lost". you might wanna clarify which on this two do you actually mean.

if you mean "ligaw" as in "courting" then guys usually gibe you flowers or ask you to go out at random times. If it's been a long time and you think he deserves a 'yes' then answer him.

The Old way of "ligaw/courting" was like this: Sometimes boys go to infront of a girls house, a boy may have some of his friends, to help him play an instrument to sing for the girl this is what they call "Harana" the song they use sometimes is "Kundiman" or sometimes they ask a permission to a girl if they can court them, sometimes they give gifts like flowers,etc... The New way of "ligaw/courting" especially this present day, sometimes boys court girls from the internet ;-; Sorry for my wrong grammar. I am only 12 yr old soreeh

When I think of ligaw I think of the second meaning which is lost but if you mean the first meaning its courting. But if someone said it to me I would first assume they are lost because that's how I use it 😂
