Education is mandatory and free from 4-18. 4-11 you got to primary school. 11-16 you go to high school and 16-18 you go to sixth form.
Also some people go to nursery from 3-4 and you can pay to go to university from 18 up.
Hope this helps.

Pre-school/nursery: 0-4years
Primary school: 4-11 years, reception to year 6. In year 6, you do SATs which are national exams
Secondary school: 11-16 years, year 7 to year 11. In year 11 you do GCSEs which are also national exams. GCSEs are necessary for college and job applications
Sixth form college/college: year 12 to year 13. In year 12, you do AS Levels and in year 13, you do A Levels. These are necessary for university applications.
Alternatively, if you don’t do A-Levels you can choose a BTEC or an apprenticeship
After that, you can go to either university or work
