Dipende, puoi metterlo prima o dopo ma molto spesso quando precede il sostantivo si rimuove la ‘e’ finale.
Ad esempio:
-“Lui è il ballerino migliore fra tutti.”
oppure
-“Lui è il miglior ballerino fra tutti.”

L'aggettivo può seguire o precedente il sostantivo, però in alcuni casi fa cambiare il senso della frase.
In questa frase il significato è uguale:
- Io (sostantivo) sono il migliore (aggettivo)
- ill migliore (aggettivo) sono io (sostantivo).
In questa frase il significato cambia:
- è un vecchio amico (è un amico che conosco da molto tempo).
- è un amico vecchio ( un amico con un'età avanzata).
