"già" means "already"
ex
i have already done my homework
ho già fatto i miei compiti
- Italian
As deanager88 wrote, it has meaning of "already".
But in some cases it can be used as an answer to a question, meaning "yes, exactly"
Ex:
-Is your dad coming home this evening??
-ehm, yes
In Italian may be:
-tuo papà torna stasera??
-ehm, già
