Velvet Clarke is a 16 years old teenager from District 8.Textiles is the district’s main industry.The design of the two outfits are related to their district industry.For the opening ceremony,she wore a crown on her hair and it made of string.Crown shows her courage and desires for victory the hunger game.The upper part of her dress has three buttons and it represents textiles.The most special part is the red colour of her dress and it is related to her father and boyfriend victory since they have paid a lot of effort to win the game.So,she has learned many skills from them and has the great chance to win.It connotes to friends and family that family is one of her important trainer and they give her confident and hope for the hunger game.Therefore,through out the significance dress can catch audience attention and guess if she can win the game.
