@guu-: Casual and informal are similar words and can be used interchangably.
Casual/Informal among friends, family, relaxed, easygoing and friendly.
Formal is the opposite of Casual/informal respectful, official, buisnesslike, serious.

@guu-: I tend to use first names if it's casual but if it's formal I use terms like Mrs., Ms, or Mr
