We don't really use YOLO much anymore, but you use it when you are going to do something without thinking.
Example:
A: I didn't do my homework.
B: You'll get a bad grade!
A: Oh well. YOLO!
or
A: Smoking is bad.
B: Whatever. YOLO!
Again, we don't use this much anymore. Hope this helps!

In some highschools in Australia its still commonly used, mainly by boys. Although I don't hear it as often.
