@S2KTS Oh, is it? I was trying think of examples on my own so it's probably wrong, haha. My main question is what's the difference between ても and のに. I know them both as "even though" so I was wondering what the nuance was.

The one with "ても" might be directly translated into English "Even though".
So the sentence shows just a case of an exist of a bad guy.
"のに" makes me feeling like it is common that there's a bad guy.

@S2KTS Oh! I read somewhere that one of them is more optimistic than the other, but I couldn't remember which. So does のに make the clause after it more positive? Like "There are a lot of bad guys, BUT there are good guys too!"
