Question about Spanish (Mexico)

I know this phrase probably only exists in English, but how would you say “one-up”?
When you one-up a person, it’s like they say something sad or funny or whatever and you have to say something even sadder or funnier or better than what they said. Like if someone says “my foot hurts” and you say “well that’s nothing, my whole leg hurts”, that’s one-upping.
How would you describe that in Spanish?
