I just saw the sentence "그런 사람들이 있기는 있구나.." and even though I understand that it means "So this kind of person exists.." I don't get the "있기는 있구나" part... to me, saying 있구나 would be enough to convey the same meaning. Could someone explain?

구나 can give varieties of meaning and nuance. here, it gives the nuance like 'wow' (Eventhough I heard that there are some people like that, I have never imagined that that kind of person would really exist. But wow there really is people like that. I can't believe it.)
