Question about Japanese
So I know the Japanese alphabet and i know how to do the basic translation for names of a person but how would i start learning to translate other words like for example "good night" because i see kon'nichiwa means good afternoon but i don't really know how to translate those kinda words over to Japanese. Good Evening is “こんばんは”
Good night is “おやすみ” or if you want to be more formal “おやすみなさい”
If you’re starting to a new language and you want to learn by yourself I’d recommend that you buy a dictionary, especially if you’re trying to expand your vocabulary. Later you can also buy textbooks, since you’re trying to learn japanese I’d recommend the “Genki” textbooks, they are really good.
If you just want to learn some words once in a while you can use this app to ask but you should ask to japanese native speakers and not in the english section.
I hope this information helps!
