@xojxstice Thank you! 😊 But I don't have any questions at the moment. 😆 I'm too lazy to ask anything right now. 😂

@xojxstice Just popped up a question here (or "a question just popped up here"?) the phrase I said before would be better if it were "I'm too lazy right now to ask anything"? What's the difference? And can I say "a question just popped up" if I want to say that a question came to my mind?

@Rachel_s2 I’d say that “I’m too lazy to ask anything right now.” would be better to use. the difference is that if you said “I’m too lazy right now to ask anything” you can tell that you’re most likely a foreigner. and yes it is alright to say that, but personally, as an american and native english speaker, I’d probably say “I finally thought of a question to ask” or “A question popped in my head”. but yes you can still say that :)

It’s easy because there isn’t a lot of conjugation, but it’s hard because of spelling that can be a little too flexible (for example: way and weigh are pronounced the same)

@Rachel_s2 Relatively hard because of our grammar rules and since it came from French and a bunch of other languages.

@Rachel_s2 I feel dispirited. I followed your advices and found some web chats to practise English However no one is as kind as you. They always asked me send them my photo. Omggg It is impolite in my country. I'm scared of them and I dont want to chat with them. It's too hard to find someone to talk 😢😢

@vuongtruong2710 😭 I'm so sorry!! But don’t be discouraged! At the beginning of the conversation, say that you just want to study and don’t want to send photos or talk about personal things.
I've talked a few times with english speakers in web chat games and language learning apps. When they asked me something personal I would just say no, if they insisted I would stop talking to them. Dealing with these kinds of situations is a common thing for me, because this happens even when I talk to people from my own country. I didn't know it's unusual in your country, I'm really sorry! 😭😭 If you think these people are too scary or annoying and you can’t find someone polite who wants to talk and teach you English, the only way would be to continue studying by yourself, but unfortunately it will take time for you to become fluent 😢 Or maybe you could study through video chats with teachers (like the "italki" app), but you'll have to pay for it. I'll not particularly do these kinds of classes, because it is not in my plans to spend money to learn something that I'm just learning as a hobby and I don’t mind if it takes a long time for me to become fluent. Many people say that watching movies, YouTube videos and listening to audiobooks is great for improving English, maybe this will also help with yours.
I found an app that you might like, in this application you talk to a virtual person (robot) to practice your English. It's called "Learn English with Aco". I don’t know if it's as good as talking to a real person, but you can try to see if it works:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=c...
There are channels on YouTube that teach English, a HiNative user showed me the “Go Natural English” channel, maybe it will help you. You can also try using the “BBC Learning English” app.
About web chats: NEVER talk to people on web chats after 11:00 PM (in the English speaker's time zone) usually these people are very rude and really scary depending on which web chat you are in. I'm sorry I didn't warn you about it 😫😭 I forgot to mention it, because it's a common sense in my country. About them asking for photos, it's something very common even during the day, just ignore it. But never tell the address of your home or something similar, just talk about trivial things. If you are underage, don’t chat with people you don’t know without your parent's permission. What web chats have you found? You'd better get into those web chats that are to learn another language or chat games that have mostly teenagers. There are web chats that have a reputation for having rude and crazy people, you have to research about the web chat before you join it. But unfortunately even in the safest you can find some rude or crazy people. 😞

@vuongtruong2710 A HiNative user gave me great tips to learn English, I think you'll like the tips too! He said:
“Watch short videos on YouTube in English with English captions on the same subject, choose a subject that you like very much. Try to listen and read the caption at the same time. Don’t stop the video for every word you don’t know. That word you don’t know will repeat itself in the next videos until you will learn the meaning without having to look at the dictionary.
Facebook discussions are great. Join a Facebook group (he said page, but I think he meant group) about politics or religion or any subject you master (makeup, cooking...) and argue without embarrassment. You can even make a profile just for it then you will not be embarrassed to make a mistake.”
I asked if he had any YouTube channel he recommends and he recommended the PragerU channel (I checked the channel and it’s great!).
Another HiNative user recommended the TED channel (I know the TED channel, it's very good, I also recommend TED-Ed).
Some people have suggested the HelloTalk app to talk to natives.
