Question about English (US)
I think that people`s characteristics depend on their language.
Firstly, language and culture closely relate each other. For example, Japanese has a ward "mottainai". Japanese people use this ward, so we try to treat things with respect. I think this characteristic in good point.of Japanese. So the difference of language causes the difference of their characteristics.
Secondly, languages set concepts. If people have different concepts, when something happens, each people respond very differently to it. The difference of how to react means the difference of how to think.
That`s why I think personality is changed by the language.
「話す言語によって性格は変わるか」について賛成派の意見です。

that's true regarding how language influences people's perspective on 'respect' and how it affects culture. Even korea and philippines has it. And learning these kinds of languages, to an extent, will develop the culture behind it as well.
But I'm not sure if it has any impact on other things besides how we show respect.
