To give birth to a child is the actual act of having the child. To bear a child can refer to any term of the pregnancy, or to even be holding it in one’s arms, but it usually refers to being pregnant. To deliver a child is to give birth to a child, but the you can say “the doctor delivered the child at 3:00pm” even though the mother is technically the one who gave birth.

@KaylaBlaeser Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I just have a few more questions.
Can "bear a child" mean the act of giving birth as well?
and what's the difference between "She delivered a healthy baby boy." and "She was delivered of a healthy baby boy."?
- English (US)
@Think07 Yes, to bear a child can mean to give birth, I just don’t hear it used that way very often.
‘She was delivered of a healthy baby boy’ just isn’t grammatically correct, and I think most English-speakers would find it confusing and think it meant the healthy baby boy gave birth to the woman, hahahah!

@KaylaBlaeser
I see. Thank you so much!!
Then maybe is it British only?
This sentence is from Cambridge Dictionary
"The princess has been delivered of (= has given birth to) a healthy baby boy."
- English (US)
@Think07 Huh. I guess it’s technically correct, it just sound weird to me.
