mucho hace referencia a cantidad o a una expresión Pir ejemplo: Hece mucho frio, hay mucha gente en la fila, tengo mucho sueño (expresa cantidad o aumenta la palabra anterior). muy es un adverbio que se coloca antes de un adjetivo para engrandecerlo,por ejemplo "Muy linda(lindísima),muy fea( feisima), muy grande(grandísimo),muy lejos. Mucho es de cantidad.
y muy yo lo utilizaria mas como calificación o calidad. A ver si me explico. Ejemplo.
Muy: Eres muy amable.
Mucho: Ese plato de comida es mucho para mi.
