En español usamos el verbo HABER como auxiliar para formar el pretérito perfecto y otros tiempos verbales:
- HEMOS ido al cine.
- HE visto una película muy interesante.
- ¿Ustedes HAN estado ya en Roma?
En italiano se usan dos verbos para ello: AVERE (tener, haber) y ESSERE (ser, estar). La mayoría de los verbos forman el pretérito perfecto con AVERE, pero unos cuantos, normalmente los que expresan movimiento o cambio de estado, lo hacen con ESSERE.
- HO dimenticato il portafoglio (he olvidado la cartera)
- Ieri HAI detto che... (ayer has dicho que...)
- Oggi mi SONO alzato alle sette (hoy me he levantado a las siete)
- SIETE stati già a Roma? (¿habéis estado ya en Roma?)
- Questa mattina SONO andata fino al centro della città (esta mañana he ido hasta el centro de la ciudad).
Los verbos reflexivos también utilizan ESSERE en el pretérito:
- Mi SONO dimenticato il portafoglio (Me he olvidado / he olvidado la cartera).
Esto no sólo pasa en italiano. En francés o en alemán, por ejemplo, ocurre lo mismo. Ya irás aprendiendo.
