밥이 질다는 건 물이 많다는 거예요. 밥이 되다는 건 물기가 적어서 퍽퍽하다는 말이고요. 그래서 어머니와 며느리가 똑같이 밥을 지었는데, 어머니 밥은 물기가 많고 며느리 밥은 물기가 적단 말이예요. 한국어를 잘하신다고 표시해두셔서 영어대신 한국어로 적어봐요. 한국어 공부 열심히 하세요!!

이른바 서술절 또는 이중주어 구문에서 주어가 도치된 형태입니다.
어머니는 밥이 질었다: 나는 키가 크다 와 같은 구조입니다.
이게 “밥이, 어머니는 질고 며느리는 되었다”가 된 다음 “밥이”가 생략된 형태입니다.
따라서 “(키가) 나는 크고 너는 작다”랑 같은 구조입니다.
