Yes they basically mean the same. In the first example, Ross doesn’t say “than,” but you could continue his statement to say “nothing less than my high expectations of Mark.”

Are you just asking for examples of “nothing less”? It is unclear from your question.

ln fact my question is nothing less in the sentence means nothing less than?
- English (US)
I see. I’d expect nothing less in that sentence means that he had high expectations and they were met. Ross has a high opinion of Mark so he is not surprised that Mark is willing to meet with Rachel.
For an example, a teacher might say to a student: “You got a perfect grade on the course. I expected nothing less.” That would mean the teacher had high expectations of the student and that they were met because the student got a perfect score.
So, in a way in means nothing less than the speaker’s expectations.
Does that help?

“Nothing less than” is used to give emphasis, to say how extreme something is.
It was nothing less than a blessing.
You’re nothing less than a criminal.
In the last example, the speaker wants to emphasize that the person they are speaking to is a criminal by removing any doubt that they are anything less than a criminal.
