Perche si usa il imperfetto congiuntivo invece del congiuntivo passato? Puoi spieggarlo?

Che cosa devo fare per rendere "abbia suonato" correto? o e' sempre incorreto? Per essempio, "Non credo che tu abbia suonato...." e ancora un errore o no?

“Che tu avessi suonato” si utilizza nel tuo primo esempio perché l’azione è avvenuta in un tempo passato. “Che tu abbia suonato” o in generale il congiuntivo passato lo utilizzi se la frase principale è al presente.
